Dorothy Shelton is the owner and operator of Park Place Plus Staffing Solutions. With Dorothy’s expertise in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and her attention to detail, you will be pleased with the quality of personnel she provides. In 1984 she began as a banquet bartender for a well established caterer in the Brampton area and soon earned her way to floor supervisor, managing all floor staff. It was also her duty to pay special attention to the guests of honour. To follow was a promotion to office personnel, where she learned the inside workings of the operation. Having this experience, provided her the confidence and ability to begin her own company as a personnel agency, supplying specialty staff to hotels, retirement facilities, caterers, private functions and golf and country clubs.

Since the inception of the company in 2002, it has grown from offering food and beverage servers, to include housekeeping attendants, dishwashers and porters. This was a new avenue for Dorothy, with her skills in people management, it has proven to be an easy transition. Dorothy understands the importance of integrity, fairness and compassion. She applies her management skills, with professionalism, strength of character, warmth of personality and grace. Dorothy is also very adaptable to change, and is open to viewing things from many perspectives.

In her spare time Dorothy enjoys the pleasures of jewellery making, horsemanship and quality time with her family. She has 2 children, a dog and a horse. She is very naturopathic minded and has a huge passion for animals.
